INFICON, a global leader in advanced instrumentation designed for fast, on-site detection of chemical agents and other industrial applications, today announced that it has been awarded a contract from the General Services Administration (GSA) to supply its field-portable, HAPSITE ® chemical identification systems to the U.S. Government. The award includes a multi-year agreement between INFICON and the U.S. Department of Defense.

The complete line of INFICON HAPSITE gas chromatograph/mass spectrometer (GC/MS) systems for immediate and on-site identification and analysis of protection against dangerous compounds, including contaminates, explosives and toxic industrial chemicals in air, soil or water, including specialized accessories, are included with the award.
